SDCL’s Most Wanted: January

San Diego County Library (SDCL) launched a new donation campaign in July of 2011 to provide customers with a simple, concrete way to help the library and fellow readers.

This yearlong campaign, SDCL’s Most Wanted involves asking customers to donate a new copy of the Book of the Month, or one of SDCL’s Top Ten Most Wanted books.

The Book of the Month and the Top Ten Most Wanted titles are chosen based upon the number of reserves, copies in the library system, and circulation. SDCL’s Most Wanted Donation Day takes place the second Thursday of each month. As part of this campaign, customers can also donate money to be matched dollar for dollar up to $200,000. Books that are donated on any other day will not be part of this campaign and will either be added by branch staff or given to the Friends of the Library.
