“Valley girls” claim library’s first trivia crown
Our first Trivia Bee turned out to be quite an event, with six teams competing to be known as the most knowledgeable—and plenty of folks cheering them on. The Trivia Bee, which is planned to become an annual event, raised $2,226, to be used for the Ramona Library books and projects.
The first-place team was made up of San Vicente Valley Club members Maxine McNamara and Penny Fox. Second place went to the team of Berna and Douglas Robb, and third went to the Ramona Rotary Club team of Sharon Greene and Joan Renaud.
Other teams competing were the Ramona Concert Association team of Eileen Carter and Virginia Pollack, the Ramona Kiwanis Club team of Kevin Bell and Paul Tarr and the Ramona Journal team of Ruth Lepper and Joan Wayman. Although they didn’t win, we know they had a lot of fun trying!
Thank you to all the teams, to those who came to cheer them on and to the members of the Friends of the Ramona Library who coordinated this unique activity. See you next year!
